Level99 to open next week at Providence Place
PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) — Are you looking to get to that next level?
Level99 at Providence Place Mall is officially opening its doors to the public next week.
The 40,000 square foot venue took over the space of the old JC Penney.
“Level 99 is a world of challenges,” said Matthew DuPlessie, CEO Level99. “We have 50 different mental and physical interactive games and puzzles in a giant wonder world of art and exploration.”
The venue supports local artists by showcasing their talents in the challenge rooms, and their Night Shift Brewing Kitchen and Tap will offer local tastes of New England.
“There are so many different modes of play,” added DuPlessie. “You can go into our challenge rooms, which range from very mental, escape room, logic, puzzle type games, or physical, [where] you are in an American Ninja Warrior obstacle course. We have over 50 pieces of local artwork produced by over a dozen local artists that decorate the space.”
The venue is mainly designed for adults, and will be the second Level99 location in New England.
The other location is in Natick, Massachusetts, at the Natick Mall.
Pricing begins at $30 for two hours.
DuPlessie told ABC 6 News why he chose to bring Level99 to Providence.
“It is a great demographic fit for us. The people who are in Providence are smart, active, athletic,” DuPlessie explained. “They want to get off the couch and put down their phone for a minute…do something that is real and play games that are better than sitting on the couch and playing with your thumbs and playing your PlayStation.”
